First of all I am glad to learn this. I had heard on the radio some time ago about the Treasury making money when the Fed intervened in the Money Markets. I thought the radio personality was wrong.

Hells Bells!! You can't just print wealth! You can only print money! The money you print is essentially an IOU. Under your no limit interest free scheme, China et al end up holding a whole lot more of your IOU's than they already do. Strictly speaking this gives China the ability and right to buy your assets i.e. the USA...and by the time you are finished damn near the whole lot of it. Either that or you default!
Damn I thought Greenspan had long ago been discredited in these pages!!!

I suspect that the complexity and corruption of the current circumstances are sufficiently vast that it doesn't matter who prints that money.
