They calculated a drop in unemployment for Q3 2009, looks like fumbling with statistics to me

After her nomination and before the Obama administration took office, Romer was tasked with co-authoring the administration's plan to recover from the 2008 recession. With economist[sic] Jared Bernstein, Romer co-authored Obama's plan for economic recovery. [3]

He earned a Masters Degree in Social Work from the Hunter School of Social Work, and from Columbia University he received a Masters Degree in Philosophy and Ph.D. in Social Welfare. Despite his role as Chief Economic Policy Advisor to the Vice President, he has no degree in Economics.
