  • Optimism- Absolutely Necessary

In the decades I've been a self-employed small businessman optimism among my peers during recessionary times is both a certainty and a necessity. It can be a fine line between staying the course to your economic niche's possible recovery and bullshitting yourself into fiscal oblivion.

    Recession Challenges Small Businesses

    By THE NEW YORK TIMES

A butcher and a restaurant owner receive breaks on their rent as their sales continue to dwindle. A bicycle maker shifts to building more food vending carts to sell to people who have lost their jobs. To combat a post-holiday drop in bookings, a tour operator hires a manager of online marketing.

For a group of small businesses The New York Times has been tracking since October, the persistent recession keeps presenting new challenges. But on the brink of spring, a more hopeful tone was repeatedly struck in recent interviews conducted by Patrick McGeehan, Brent McDonald and Erik Olsen. (One of the businesses, a Saab auto dealer in Rochelle Park, N.J., declined to participate this month.)

My father (80 year old) had dinner with me on Friday, was trying his best to fire me up.........can't understand WHY i am not attacking the problem head on.

I informed him over the last 12 months what was going on, i shown him Peter Schiff "You Tubes".........The reson i am NOT Fighting is because i know that the people i am dealing with are going bust & the Bank of England will have no choice but to HYPER Inflate the money surrpley, thus any profit i might make will be "washed" by:-

    Bad debt
    Inflation tax
    Real Tax

Hey, Fu*k them.............i just sit in the office and do small odd jobs for the next 18 months.
