  • US Navy vessels collide in Straits of Hormuz

    http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/meast/...ide/index.html

A U.S. Navy submarine collided with a Navy amphibious ship Friday in the Strait of Hormuz, mildly injuring 15 sailors, according to the commander of the U.S. Fifth Fleet.

The submarine, the USS Hartford, collided with the USS New Orleans about 1 a.m. in the strait, which runs between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula.
Anyone else sensing a bypass/coverup? Its nothing new that intelligence/military agencies plant cover up stories... Kind of odd for two navy ships that i would assume know the locations of each other (perhaps not, but there has got to be some central command watching these locations) colliding RIGHT smack dab next to Iran.... Sounds like an intelligence gathering situation gone wrong...

How will the Chinese manage to get their oil either by ship or pipeline from Iran when there is not enough room for US vessels in the Strait and more and more troops are coming into Afghanistan/Pakistan?

The ship was giving "Sonar cover" for the Sub......I spoke with a capt of one of our attack boats and they ALWAYS sail with a Tug that was used to cause all monor of "Noise" in the water.
