Also the following 'nationalities' are operting in the oil sector in Iraq: Scottish (Ramco), US (Chevron), French (Total), British (BP), Norwegians (DNO), Dutch (Shell), etc.

Is this another "big bad Asians" bugaboo? Akin' back to the 80's with the Japanese-hysteria?

I think Americans need to get real.

There are plenty of companies in the world, competing in the global arena. American companies don't have the first strike exclusive option on every deal.

Chinese are like anybody else: compete hard and in need for more energy to fuel their growth.

Exactly like the Germans, the French, the British, etc...
