    Thanks, pal. A friend of mine has been on fire (oops!) over buying 5-10 year treasuries (through Treasuries Direct) and hopes to monitor any rate increases in time. I wish him good luck. ;)

      With the U.S. economy in a train-wreck now, imagine what higher interest rates could do to it when the bond market collapses! From train-wreck to "crash and burn"; that comes next.

      And the Greenpeace pot-heads in America and worldwide think they can survive with solar power solutions! Sadly, the Obama Administration listens to these fools.... This is getting more tragic by the day.

      "The Great Adjustment" is what people are calling this current depression. :p

        Maybe I missed something, but who is pitching that solar is a workable solution for all of our power needs?

        I thought the focus was on investing in renewable energy so that we can make it viable (either by improvements to existing methods, decreases in energy demand, etc). That would help decrease our reliance on foreign countries and would help put alternatives in place if oil supplies diminish.
