I'm surprised he says 15% decline in living standards, I've heard 30% mentioned before by others.

And he says people go into dollars because of the democratic system at least nominally (taxation) (33:50 min)

Guns AND Butter? .... that was called Vietnam followed by Iraq II ... both disasters. You have to raise taxes to pay for war or they don't end.
