Stuff like this *really* angers me. I wonder if this officer was ever in the military? It looks like she kicked her shoes off at him, but still he definitely used excessive force. It looks like he kicked her, slammed her head on the ground, and then punched her a couple of times while she was down on the ground.

This officer should have one of his eyes gouged out. Excessive force should be met with excessive force. Too crazy you say? Well, how else are you going to prevent officers from doing this in the future?

Unfortunately in today's society I think the consensus would be that the girl must have done something to deserve this sort of treatment. I think it's some sort of weird permutation of the whole "If you're doing nothing wrong then you have nothing to worry about" line of thinking.

Which is why that cop should be jailed himself. He not only used excessive force, he now exposes other police who need to use force. Every time one of "yours" does something wrong YOU are a target for retaliation.

Its pretty simple. That girl posed no threat and he simply could have reacted in proportion. If he isn't bright enough to distinguish one threat from another then he shouldn't be a cop.
