If I were a Predator, I would have arranged my affairs in order to avoid such unpleasantness. Either a gated community or a luxurious condo tower easily protected from the prey. And, then of course, there all those friendly-to-predators offshore tax havens. You should only mix with the prey when on the hunt.
If a serious downturn occurs, there is the question of maintaining Public Security, another great American Industry. If funds are not forthcoming, and public security at privatized rates is very expensive, Predators who live in outlying or difficult to secure areas may wish to move. Their insurance rates may go up and their property values go down. What used to be Ghetto Birds may have to now expand their coverage.
