Easy there gunpowder. Isn't your quick conclusion just a bit premature? One article doth not prove/disprove a theory....any theory

I don't know about you BadJuju but I've got a cold clammy feeling in my gut regarding all my long PM positions. Not confident at all in the dollar buckling here. I'm hanging in there but unlike the core iTulip stalwarts who have 80% of their assets cautiously parked in USD denominated treasuries (while they confidently forecast the US dollar's imminent demise), I'm a little more "committed" to the **actionable** demise of the dollar notion, and my gut tells me it ain't gonna comply in the next 24 months.

maybe you think that if treasury yields are going up then gold hoarders are gonna run for the higher yield? like it's 1983? if so you're forgetting why the treasury yields went up then. no, today the rise isn't because paul volcker just took over from bennie boy and raised short rates to 20%. it's because, as ej wrote elsewhere (forget where) if net capital flows merely level off the 10 yr rises 100 basis point per yr. china, japan, et al stopped buying. smell something burning?

I had no trouble accessing "Update 2' of this story on Bloomberg this morning. And it's highlighted on the Bloomberg home page.
