  • Blackstone Billionaire Schwarzman Shares With Employees

What a kind hearted guy Steve Schwarzman of Blackstone Group must be to share his Financial Times subscription password with his employees so they too can read the same articles.

It is really terrible though when a big bad Capitalist Bully like the Financial Times takes exception to Steve's do gooding:

Officials at the FT became a bit suspicious when they realized a very industrious Blackstone employee was accessing thousands of articles a day; a subsequent investigation turned up evidence Blackstone had been engaged in the fraud since as far back as 2002. The FT is now suing Blackstone for copyright infringement and violation of the computer fraud and abuse act. The company didn't disclose how much they're seeking from Schwarzman's firm. It's probably safe to say it would have been cheaper for Blackstone to have coughed up the $179 a year that it costs to buy an online subscription. The full suit below!

A pox on you, Financial Times, for discouraging caring and sharing.

Hey metalman: Sorry man, but I have to change my iTulip password right away. And this time I can't tell you what it is, okay? Don't let FRED know what's been going on, eh. A little cross-border fraud could get the RICO boys on your back, and the Mounties parked outside my bunker [which doesn't do anything good for property values, believe me ;) ]
