A lot of these new Bubble houses were built with shoddy materials. Plus, a lot of corners were cut, inspections bypassed. Turbo Caveat emptor on these babies.
'smelly, corrosive gases and ruining household systems such as air conditioners... corrodes copper wiring, turning it black'?

might be a health hazard?

We had a situation up here last year where a large quantity of budget priced Chinese plywood was brought in by one of the big distributors. It delaminated after being installed and resulted in a large numbers of buildings not passing inspection.

I won't use anything not made in Canadian or US mill or plant in the bunker. Period.

        hey what do you know?

        http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/ma...e_our_suburbs/

        How to Save Our Suburbs...

Transform housing. Turn single-family houses into more flexible building stock, such as live/work spaces for artists or professionals. A carriage house can become an office for six. McMansions can be converted into multifamily housing or community buildings. Oversized lots can support denser housing, while blocks of foreclosed homes can be converted into satellite campuses for businesses. The key to all this is rewriting zoning practices.
