Re: FED loses its alleged power
There's a lot to recommend this analysis.
The Greenspan FED smashed interest rates to the floor after some extremely weak hints of deflation.
The Bernanke FED surely sees the housing bubble coming apart, and thus has FAR better cause to lower rates than the Greenspan FED did, yet the Bernanke FED is actually talking of raising rates.
BUT .... This analysis contains too much of the logically fallacious tools of 'mind reading' and 'fortune telling'.
Reading the minds of the FED and other central bankers, and guessing what they'll do in the future.
(all the analysis in this field seems so.)
So what's an investor to do, one who knows he's too dumb to figure this out, but one who's smart enough to be extremelly skeptical of the proffered analysis and solutions?
