Sadly, I see that you have the same kind of rightwingers in the UK that have perverted the politics and economy of America for decades. But at least America has now broken-out with Obama whereas in the UK, well you get the snide and piercing comments of Mr. Hitchens in his column.
Mr. Hitchens and his Tories ( or whatever you now call them in the UK ) should meet me, Starving Steve...... Try working, as I have, part-time in the schools in California for fourteen long years as a substitute teacher. Try working at half the wages of a credentialed teacher --- even though you have a clear credential to teach --- because the rightwingers in control of America hate your political views.
No, Mr. Hitchens, the poor are not all poor because they are lazy and slow..... We don't all watch too much slurry on TV, and we are not all dopers or drunks, either.:rolleyes:
