Re: Exon calls for Carbon tax

Anytime the government says we have a crisis and are headed for doom unless we let them save us,I'm a little skeptical. This is right out of the socialist play book. Create a crisis in order to take control,in this case of our entire economy. Kinda like the "war on terror". We spend billions, take away many personal liberties all to find one guy hiding in a cave. It's typical of the arrogance of man too. Given the complexities of the earth and our environment to think that we can destroy something or perhaps save it just through our actions is to discount the forces of nature and the being that created it.

Who gets the blame for the dinosaurs? Look, there is no doubt we have a capacity to control our actions not to wantonly pollute our environment or force species into exstinction because of our actions. However, our planets environment and it's species have changed radically over eons WITHOUT human interaction. For us mere humans to assume that we can understand and even yet influence something as complex as our planets temperature is arrogant and conceited. If you do not believe that their are people using these "crisis" to enact social change then you need to get your head out of the sand.
