    Re: Ron Paul

[quote= I respect his intelligence and convictions tremendously, but even when I agree with everything he is saying he manages to sound like a nutjob.[/quote]

Got to agree that he is completely unelectable for so many reasons. It's sad that he has so much to bring to the table, but he's become essentially a cartoon. He goes on his rants with Bernanke asking only endless rhetorical questions, knowing full well he is not going to get any kind of real answer; rather than engaging in any real dialogue. While he deserves a meaningful role in government, it sure isn't President!

      He'd be great if he wasn't a racist and a right-to-lifer.

I think he might be too old for a run in 2012 but I would vote for him over any of the clowns the republicans might parade (one of them being mitt romney)...

Please don't insult our intelligence, as Ron Paul has done, by suggesting that a newsletter that's gone out for thirty years under the name Ron Paul's Freedom Report, Ron Paul Political Report, and The Ron Paul Survival Report don't accurately reflect the views of Ron Paul.

Nice try. I think Paul's views on economics are terrific, but there's no denying his ugly side. Proceed forward with ideological blinders at your own peril.

I agree that Ron Paul sounds like a total nutjob to the majority of Americans, which makes him unelectable. However, what he says makes perfect sense. I'd bet most people don't even know what the fractional reserve system is, let alone how it works.

I think a return to the values of 1790 would be quite prudent.
