And look for Repubs Hagel and or Lugar to hold positions or be involved in the transition. Both are good Picks. I would like to have seen David Gergen as chief of staff.
I forgot about Geithner. It seems there is a good chance they will keep Gates in place at DoD.

I'd give the article a read as the excerpt doesn't cover all the pertinent points.

skidder, I follow this linkage between prices and rates and it has worked beautifully thruout the 20+ year bear market in rates and CRB until 2002 - 2004 where there was a non confirmation. The CRB then started going up before rates. Then rates linked up again until this wave I commodity top was put in place a few months ago. Now rates collapsed all the way back to the lows and it will be very interesting whether this is another non confirmation before Wave III in commodities or whether the CRB follows it down. My eyes are wide open on this one! Thanks for you post.

Instead of offering a thread that speculates on the next Treasury Sec. and discussing his/her merits, you immediately get right down there in the mud. No wonder many of the Republican intellectuals are now speaking out about how their party has become the party of Joe the Plumbers and Sarah Palins.

Until Goldman Sachs is shut down and every living current and former employee is deported from the United States, we will never be able to protect ourselves against the incredible influence they wield. By the same token, the mere suggestion that anyone affiliated with that den of iniquity is at all qualified for public service in any capacity is treasonous.

Obama will never have the loyalty of those familiar with the bankster cabal until he publically repudiates that firm and all associated with it.

          Sorry, they aren't meaningless.
So now their family members go to Afghanistan get shot and they still get spit on. Yes, the elections have become meaningless, and now the word CHANGE has also become meaningless.

I think the past eight years might disagree with you.

It's also a little early to be that nihilistic. At least let the man get in the White House first.
