401K's......Mega does a bit of "Free Thinking"

Ok, Am not *Schiff* or EJ but lets see if i can suss out what is going to happen in the near term:-

Those bright sparks whom ran the 401K's.....they bought a shed full of "Safe investments":-

CDO's
Credit Card debt
Auto-loans

All FULLY insured am sure ;)

Now, with the hedge funds unwinding & these "Wonderful" investment items going to like 8% of face value..............all those funds are stuffed BIG time......Yes?

So, Ford,GM & Big goverment funds will have to "Top up" the funds?

Oh what "Joy" lies ahead!

I think perhaps your observations apply more to defined benefit pension funds than to defined contribution 401(k) accounts.

The great scam is that the average Joe can be sooooo productive for half is his adult life that he can be a zero production consumer for the other half of his life.

Retirement is a relatively new idea. The 401K is a really new idea. Our economy's depth of motivation right now reminds one of a penis enlarging infomercial at 2am in the morning.

When will the powers-that-be bring out the dancing girls to make the sell ... oh right .. that was supposed to be Sarah Palin.
