Because all the Hedge funds are selling stocks & Bonds & Comdo's etc to cover their polsitions. Thus there is a demand for $......?

I think so...everyone is selling "assets" and trying to "buy" dollars so as to meet redemptions, roll over loans, repay loans, etc.

So much debt is USD denominated...

As told, we need a multi currency convention for trade.

How about the top 15 traded currencies as a basket?

Or regional top currencies as anchors and two other currencies per region as alternates?

In the gold standard such polemic was worthless, and if ever we return to a form of a gold standard or PM standard, the polemic will keep open.
