Mike, I believe you "fudged" with your title on this one. Article says nothing about Merz saying "no" to Paulson, though it suggests Merz thought as recently as Saturday (same day as heart attack) that the crisis is not over.Originally posted by Mega View PostJim 69 y/o

Asked if the Swiss government would intervene if UBS was threatened with collapse, he said:
"No big bank has the right to be saved by the state with tax money. That is the rule. If you want to deviate from that you need to have very good reasons that make sense to everybody. Up until now, there was no reason to deviate from this rule."Comment
