So, the "Sheep" are starting bleat!

The Wolfs are circling, not a sheap dog in siight, Oh Dear!

Millions now heading for Welfare, Oh Dear!

To My fellow Brits i say this:-

    Tougt Sh*t !

I am but a fool from Liverpool whom makes door handles in his 550 Sq floot Workshop. NO higher EDcation, Not been to "Uni" etc..................Yet i knew we where in BAD trouble.............I knew it would end in soup kicthens!

    ................and so it begins!

I am surposed to feel sorry for these "Poor" people whom didn't attack the the Goverment over Iraq. They allowed our freedoms to be taken from Us, just as long as the House was "Worth" a £100 more today............so you could borrow aginst its so called "Value".

Now the circle has turned & you can smell the fear!

My message to you all ?

F*ck You, F*ck you very much, in fact double F*ck you with nobs on..........while you eat cake!

BTW You might be shocked to find that Walfare won't pay for a lease hire Merc or BMW..........nor to put your kid though Private school.............

I personaly can't wait to see you driving a 10-15 year old car, don't try to drive this clapped out heap with Tax & Insurance because the Police have computers in their cars that can "Read" your plate and they nick you, there & then!

Yes, those whom SAVED will now be able to buy a nice house in a good area for a honet price. They will NOT need to sign away a 30 year Morgage..........& have no money left to enjoy live!

................& be sure Assholes we WILL piss all over you at EVERY chance we get. Now shift that Sh*t heap car out of the way of my New (Paid for ) GTI.

That's the DEFLATIONARY Picture, don't forget there is an inflationary picture that is the mirror image of this. Note, people who have power tend to do whatever it takes to maintain that power. Advancing the meek and humble at the expense of themselves is not in their nature. Be careful.

Oh Yes...............I know, the "Dole" will not be cut but its buying power will be cut!

I see deflation, then inflation..............then HYPER Inflation.

Oddly enough Mega, although I get the feeling that our politics may be very different, I find myself agreeing with you yet again...

Britain is even more vulnerable than the US to the downturn in Banking and Finance as unlike the US, it has almost no manufacturing left. The Pound is going to be in the toilet.

Well said, I personally have the same sentiments concerning these socalled new societal virtues. Thankfully they will be a thing of the past soon. But Mike, aren't you worried that the demand for hand made first class door handles will decline as/when the depression hits ?

Hey, Mike, out of curiosity, what sort of door handles do you make, and how do you make them? and out of what material(s)?

Mike, oh my (that is how you guys say it there in UK right?), so many words on a Sunday.

I agree with jtabeb: make sure you keep inflation hedges and not just cash, cause when the tsunami of bailout funds i.e. high inflation comes ashore...swoosh.

Unless you are a master market timer that is (which I am not). Hence: 50-50 cash/PMs: good against both deflation/high inflation...

Stainless Steel, i make other thing mainly for Architects..............Yes i factored in that my bussiness will (Is) get creamed, but for the last 15 Years i saved & invested:-

                    PM's
                    "Schiffs"
                    Euro's
                    British Stocks
                    Pounds

You see i wish to escape Liverpool, but the insane Home prices have held me here (I rent). Once the collaspe comes am Gone, off to Lancs or Curmbra........With home price loessing 50% or more, well i don't mind the lack of work..........I mean if your trying to pay £300,000 for a house its hard work, but if its £100,000 (Which i got) its no worries!

As a Mr G Marks once said "Bad news is not bad for everyone"!

Then i can have my hair transplant!

Not to start a love fest or anything, but I have to agree here.

Hell, I'm Mr. Physical and I have a 30% cash position "just in case". It's the synergy of the two types of holdings that make them an absolute must.

Cash is like a women, can't live with it but can't live w/o it either.

P.M.'s are the only "bullet-proof" thing out there.

                        Meaning, Have both, I'm a 70 PM/30 CASH guy, that's just me.

I'd like to think that was true . . . but I've still got cash along with my PMs in case it isn't (my ratio is a little more weighted to cash than yours).

Gold, like anything, is only worth what people will pay for it . . . and I've learned in life that just because I value something, others might not. Also, there are other unknowns, like gov't intervention in gold or the possibility of (gasp!) deflation.

All that being said, the risk of gold not performing well in the future is low IMHO, so it comprises a healthy portion of my portfolio.

The only thing that is going to work in my portfolio this morning is my Yen. That gold is not reacting more strongly to all this says something - I'm not sure exactly what though...

It may be that the recent PM price drop was indeed due to deleveraging, and that the yen carry is that last to go in that process.
