My theory on the lack of outrage is that the MSM coverage of this tends to include a healthy dosage of blame on home buyers. Talk to the average person on the street about this and they probably will too.
I've listened to a few talking heads read e-mail messages on the air from viewers that place the blame squarely on home buyers and think the point of the bailout is to provide relief to people facing foreclosure!
What is the point of reading that on the air?
I haven't heard a single report on CNBC, FoxBusiness, FoxNews or CNN that mentions something even remotely close to the "politics of foreign debt". Bring this topic up with the man on the street and they think you're talking about a nutso conspiracy theory or an ideological arguement of some kind.
