That is some interesting information you provided about Poland's foreign policy prior to WWII. Where did you pick that up.

How about the bit of information coming out of the "secret archives" of the British about their "amateur" diplomat negotiating with the Nazi's prior/start of the WWII.

A British amateur diplomat tried to make a peace deal with Germany in World War II, National Archive files reveal.

I suspect the Brits are calling him amateur to make it all look less serious than it was :-) Wink , wink ....

To c1ue: I agree for East Europe it seems (and probably is) the best to use US umbrella, but being hostile to Russia does not make any good for them except for internal consumption. Sometimes their actions are so ridiculous like Estonia honoring former Nazis SS volunteers and allow them to have marches and Latvia convicting old soviet WW2 partisan.
