Just one example, they using at Cobalt free IFP battery, only 140 wh/kg but CHEAP..........i remember as a child the fuel shock of the early-mid 1970's....Japan had well built small sub compacts......people found they had to buy them & where delighted with how good they were........

The Peak Oil Era Is Suddenly Upon Us
That's an article today at Bloomberg. In summary: at $100/Kwh batteries cost allow EV to price parity with ICE ones. The benchmark is allegedly being attained by a few major auto companies. So oil demand is hitting it's peak. I think it's a read worth it.

There are going to be differant battery types out there, the BIG news starts in 2024 ish.............
VW & Toyota begin production of Solid state battery, this is MEGA, because its any where between 350-600+ wh/kg........todays battery is 200 ish!
They also don't require anything like the cooling/heating of todays battery & are mostly safe from fire.

With that tec you could easy half the weight of the battery, a model 3 performance (1900 kgs) would fall to 1600 kgs, less than a M3 BMW !

been doing a lot of thinking on this, if we could store the power we got from our wind/sea power then we might be in good shape.
What if ever home in the land has an large LFP battery?.........it could be charged off peck say like "Econmey 7" that we use to power storage heaters?

The EV revolution es becoming exponential. Time and again projections of EV adoption change. I don't think that by 2030 many ICE cars will be selling. Battery technology is evolving fast. And, hate it or love it Tesla and the chinese are at the forefront. Quite a few yeras ago someone wrote "The decadence of the West". Batteries becoming cheap shall power the adoption of renewables. Which are also becoming cheaper every year. I still remember the 1 dollar PW solar panels (China prices). Today they are being offered at 0.25. Oil shall be reserved for petrochemicals and airplanes. Short term flights with small drones carrying people shall become mainstream, however. When you see what small $ 1.000 DJI drones can do...it's not a very far shot some bigger bird carrying you. Just get on it, mark your destination on the scrren and watch at the scenery down there. When you arrive just get out. No need to know anything about flying. The bird then returns to departure point or just go to pick somebody elese.

F1 & Group B rally cars..............its was a thrill to see this new tec growing.................is Battery tec the "Turbo" of the 2020's ?
