  • I want my bail out now!

Dear iTulipers, please allow for The Don to express my current feelings:

The chap is usually funny, but these are not normal times...

Perhaps *cough* *cough* forgetting to pay taxes associated with all that physical bullion investment is a way to get even?

Humorous but sharp article on the same issue - how can I get government to bail ME out? I've included below link to my original itulip post In Rant and Rave, which contains link to the original article.

Below is an additional and funny exerpt from same article.

How can you get the Treasury to shore up your debt?

With news that the U.S. Treasury is getting the go-ahead to use billions of federal dollars to guarantee the debts held by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, many Americans can't help but wonder, "What's so damn special about those two companies? I have debt too. How can I get the government to shore up my debt?"

It's not that hard. The problem with most Americans is that no matter how hard they try with their credit cards, student loans, and mortgages it can be hard to rack up more than $60,000 or $70,000 in debt, which the government thinks is small potatoes.

If you want to make sure the government uses tax dollars to pay off your debt, you gotta spend big!

Stop online gambling, and start playing a central role in the online gambling system

Anyone visiting an online casino can lose a couple of grand an hour without raising an eyebrow. You need to online gamble so much that you become integral to the online gambling system, so that when you can't pay off all the debt you've incurred from gambling online, Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson, Jr. is forced to make the following statement: "Lenny Hinckley plays a central role in our online gambling system and he must continue to do so in his current form as an out-of-work, gambling addicted loner who was given far more credit than was a good idea. Lenny's support for the online gambling industry is particularly important as we work to get this economy back on track so people will have more money to throw away while wearing only their boxer shorts."

Don't let the government treat you like some truck-stop whore who'd accept a $299 billion bailout

In the bailout of Fannie and Freddie, Congress was told by administration officials that they had to extend the line of credit to $300 billion, or else it wouldn't be "meaningful."

Remember that when the government comes calling. If they say they want to help and they only offer you $290 billion or some bullcrap number like that, you stand proud and tell the government, "I didn't work my ass off behaving so irresponsibly as to bring our nation's economy to the brink of disaster just so you could call me a slut!" The government will apologize and it will let you know how much you mean to it by offering you another $10 billion. "You're worth it," the government will say, brushing a tear from your cheek. "You've always been worth that much to me."
