It could be just some PR. I doubt that will really happen. However the UK people may become more willing to accept BoE's bailout scheme of the bad lenders. As the Brits say "musn't grumble, it could be worse". This is a very bad time to be a UK tax payer or saver, but this world is not fair.

Welcome to I-Tulip My friend, good to have you here, thanks for your post. Yes i gave up on UK savings and went Euro last year...made a packet but even the Euro is looking Iffy.
