Debt collection? Ugh. Bad karma. Bad things happen to those folks. But if you're serious, think about training debt collectors in India, who will be calling Americans--very politely. Better yet, try something else.

The waste management field. Might be a slight drop in the amount of garbage being generated, but it will always be there, and landfills are filling up all the time, so diversion is a big issue and will only get bigger.

If you live in a high density locale it could really work to your advantage, especially if you can provide support via bicycle/scooter/motorcycle.

The biggest downside is very low barrier to entry and possibly quite strong competition.

I don't know, your proverbial tourist might be in for a shock.

Quite honestly, the majority of American women are ugly.

Even with the surgeries and what not, they just collectively don't have any idea on style.

            Being fat doesn't help.

Americans just don't seem to understand that eating tons of food and exercising don't cancel out - unless you're a marathon runner.

Of course you know what this means - the ones who are hot have such seriously bad attitudes.

In the South this seems much less of an issue, but then again there's the whole teeth thing (kind of British). And the post-35 weight thing (kind of German).

Hell maybe its the same all over, although I must say Russia is nice.

Good points. Computer repair in general doesn't seem to be a profitable industry in my low density locale especially as new computers become less expensive.

However, cleanup from malware problems which can usually be accomplished with little time investment, data recovery from malware problems and computer upgrades, and helping average users safely store their digital memories are promising ideas.

How about frivilous law-suits? That seems to be an evergreen industry...

Substitute "jewish" or "black" for "American" or "southern" or "british" and itulip would have already removed this post.

btw. I was born in and live in the southern US and have never had a cavity. We got flurodated water in the mid 60's. Where do you get your knowledge of the world, old Beverly Hillbillies episodes?

I spent several years of my childhood growing up in Texas and my father was a Texan. The south references are neither accurate nor appreciated. I can show you areas of the Northeast where there are plenty of poor, unhealthy people. I believe you are referring to poverty, and evidence of it is indeed uniform throughout the world.

Is there a movement among dentists in California to stop pulling teeth?

I would like to invite c1ue to the campus of my alma mater the University of Georgia on a spring afternoon like today and see how long he can last looking at all the beautiful coeds walking by before his jaw hits the ground. Maybe that's what he means by the "teeth thing".

It should be clear from these charts that C1ue's claim is substantiated :

                              OBESITY MAP OF THE USA.jpg

and a great interactive map here:

                              http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2007/fit...n/obesity.map/

final image of that map reads as follows:

                              OBESITY MAP OF THE USA_INTERACTIVE.jpg

Seems the only part of the continental US that is not at risk of obesity is the water within the great lakes!

I lived in Austin for 5 years, and the teeth were pretty good there.

But then there's Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky, etc.

I absolutely agree with the poverty part.

Sure seem to have struck a chord tho...
