NEW YORK, March 17 (Reuters) - The interest rate on U.S. 3-month Treasury bills fell below 1 percent on Monday on intense safety bids for cash spurred by the ongoing global credit crunch.
The three-month T-bill rate was last 0.85 pct, down 32 basis points from late Friday. Its yield was down by a similar increment to 0.87 pct. (Reporting by Richard Leong; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
