More Americans turning to Web for news

Nearly 70 percent of Americans believe traditional journalism is out of touch, and nearly half are turning to the Internet to get their news, according to a new survey.

While most people think journalism is important to the quality of life, 64 percent are dissatisfied with the quality of journalism in their communities, a We Media/Zogby Interactive online poll showed.

Is there really any difference between "unending gullibility" and "stupidity"? "Stupidity" may be too coarse a term, I much prefer to use "ignorant" when addressing the mental capacities of Americans en masse, but that is just the difference between you and me, you are coarse, and I am clearly not.

You reference me any post where I have been pretentious and I'll send FRED a check for $10 and he can send it to you.

            You are kidding right?

Nearly half of the 1,979 people who responded to the survey said their primary source of news and information is the Internet, up from 40 percent just a year ago.
            And what changed?

Most Americans are getting their Reuters, Associated Press, New York Times and Washington Post articles on the internet, as opposed to reading them in newspapers and/or watching a synoposis on television.

So to Zogby's poll results, I say, "big ******* deal."

            This has not changed:

You know, metalman, that would be my answer also, if I were you and had to try to seriously pin on me the label of "pretentiousness" I think that would be the best I could do. If you maintain that I have demonstrated myself as being pretentious and that you have earned your $10 bonars, put it back here that I owe you, and the check will be in the mail. You know "the check is in the mail" is one of the three biggest lies told. I'll write FRED and see if someone there is willing forward the check to you, make sure they have your address.
