  • short term predictions - 3-Mar-2008 week

Just too much pessimism out there...this may be a huge up week for the stock market after an early downdraft.

We are approaching another bottom corresponding with late January 2008. The US dollar will begin to rally against the Euro, and gold and silver will drop quite a lot.

Now it's your turn to prognosticate.

grape, I am thinking just the opposite. I think over the past few weeks, we had unsubstantiated optimism regarding the stock markets and now reality is hitting again. Fundamentals and technicals in equities are fair to poor, and getting worse.

As for gold and silver, looking at charts, one would guess they are due for a pullback, but I don't think I would bet too heavily on that. When you are in a secular bull market like PM's you can't go wrong by consistently adding positions on the way up without worrying too much about intermediate consolidations.

A new closing low in DJI/SP5(nearly there mid-Tues. morning),not necessarily new intraday lows, would likely:confused: signal at least the approach
        of decent intermediate term(weeks-to-months)buying opportunity.
