  • The British shut the stable door (home Loans)

Sadly for Brits, we followed America into Sub Prime:-

    100% Home Loans

    125% Home loans

    Lie-er Loans

With National Rock...Sorry Northern Rock going into goverment hands the rest of the crimo....Sorry British Banking trade called time on the above.

Just as Peter S C H I F F prodicted, they tightened their lending statards, you will now need in most cases 20% deposit, proof of income and expect it to be checked VERY carfully.

We rather a large number of fixed (Low rate) loans about to reset.....things are looking "Diff-a-cult" for a lot of them..............Rates are going up!

Realistically, we need everyone to make a contribution and no one should try and divert the input of anyone else to "their" view of what is right or wrong to say. I stand for open debate and do not agree we should prevent anyone from posting whatever they feel is their contribution.

      With the greatest of respects....

I'll take an input that causes thoughtful discussion any day, even from a "non-subscriber"

That's why you guys set up the site they way you did., right? That's a fair question to ask right?

JT... it's Mega's incessant shilling for someone who's basically making the same calls that EJ did five years ago that has people tweaked.

I pegged him for a sockpuppet until I found out that some folks here have messaged with him.

Hang in there, Mike, you bring some worthwhile articles to the forum, and it is good to have someone who is paying attention to the British press as you do.

Sockpuppet = five fingers, covered with a dolled up sock claiming it's not a hand anymore. Online, someone who isn't who they say they are.

Messaging = sending a private message.

WTF difference does it make it he wants to reference, quote, or shout praises to Schiff or anyone else? Are you against dissemination of information? or just against free speech?

Good, Mike, just keep doing what you do. You know we have some other Brits who participate here, and probably more of them than I am aware.

What keeps your interest in iTulip? Do you think the future of the UK, financially, is intimately tied to how the US fares and here is the best place to keep track of what's happening or what?

It seems to me you all have your own set of problems.
