    US sovereign bonds seem awfully, awfully expensive. All long bonds seem expensive.

    Are bonds in a bubble? Sure seems that way to me.

    "the vise" is yields squeezed between flight to quality (pushes yields down and prices up) and inflation risk (pushes yields up and prices down.) the vise will snap open one of these days! SNAP!!! just a guess.

      Bonds hit bottom in what, 1980 or 1981? And they've been in a long rise all this time. Nothing stays in a bull market forever. The last 3 or 4 years may be show a topping pattern...

        There is demand for these things.

        People or institutions with lots of cash want some but more importantly a safe return under the current investment conditions.
