Yes, and I got hit hard; the lesson though, enabled me to do quite well when the Tech Bubble popped.

The reason I said -1000 point drop, is that it would psychologically goad the sheeple to panic, regardless of the percentage drop in comparison to other events.

I've been saying since November that there would be a day with -1000 point drop in the Dow in the next 6 months.

-1000 is a great psychological impact point - that's why I was using it.

Most people don't give a crap about the details, but -1000 DJI hits right where it hurts...

Just postpones the inevitable.

Because when the emergency 75 bps cut comes through (and it just has), there just isn't anywhere else to go.

Then the upcoming pain from the heart of the subprime, first stage ARM, and worst Option ARM mortgages, securities, etc will have nothing to offset the damage to the financials.

Throw in some serious dollar depreciation...still plenty of legs in my prediction.
