We haven't even started to see the vast amounts of (borrowed) money our governments will pizz away on climate change virtue signalling. They are just getting warmed up...no pun intended.

And the costs will hit those who can afford it least the most. The Pelosis and Trudeaus of this world are so wealthy they won't need to change anything in how they live. But what they impose on the rest of us is going to have dramatic influence over standards of living in the years to come.

Another load of inanity. There should be a law against calling EVs "zero-emission."

During the late 1970's as a kid i witnessed some REAL dumb ass shit going on.
The Marxist had got into the trade union movement & they drove the ship of state onto the rocks.....

They wanted Revolution ......they got it.....THATCHER Revolution!

Re: New Car choice for EV's

Please explain why the poor need to be on the road in a car they probably bought on HP meaning they took a pay cut?

I don't even know why office workers think they need to be in the office swapping germs and disturbing each other 5-days a week, why not just go in once or twice a week.

Oh I get because everyone wants the ******* freedom to do what ever they please.

Well that time is coming to an end the baby boomer's will be the last generation whom can hide behind that bitch Ayn Rands philosophy , and governments will have to step up and reconfigure our economies to cope with the change that will be fostered upon us.

As hard as my tribe works, it's 50-50 if we will be able to generate enough wealth for inflation not to take off, and even shorter odds if we can work on getting governments to better distribute wealth.

I must confess i do agree with you on the office front, there is also a case reduced car ownership, but once you given someone thing its hard to take it back.

                            Bad news for Tesla.

                            https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/gm-...kola-1.5716001

I suspect more of these trucks will sell than Elon's Cybertruck (if Tesla actually ever builds it).

And note the emphasis on hydrogen fuel cell technology in the announcement.

I want to invest in hydrogen fuel cell tech now, before it's a thing. Would you suggest GM? I don't feel good about their balance sheet.

I can't make any recommendations shiny. Not familiar with the emerging players. But what I might suggest is looking for a hydrogen ETF that holds a basket of companies, or an alternate energy ETF with a good track record and strategy. That is how I would probably play it.
