He would say that anyway, but I think he right...big firms & government depts. & local concils will "Charge" down this path......

They can't afford Tesla's........so Vauxhall it is & BMW are left for dead by their own in action

This chap is a well know "youtube influencer" or salesman, he spends his time ragging around in dealer demo cars trying to get you to buy.
He normally sells such odd ball nonsence as Lotus & McLaren cars the ones with such appalling build Q that even Tesla would blush.

I quite like this guy & he can make some good points but he not critical as I think he should be.

So today he is "Testing" a 208 EV, he keeps going on about not having "Range Anxiety"......that's because he in company with another car, with a ICE & also I suspect a back up petrol generator. Note how he drives it in the ideal conditions, temp ideal for the battery....at low speeds (almost walking pace).

PLEBS, here is your future transporter

Spot on PLEB car, just need a way to "encourage" the slime that's driving a 10-20 year old BMW/Audi/Merc TDi to trade "up" to something like this & return to his/her station in life....

Driving Old Cars: Light on Tech, Heavy on Fun

The best thing about old cars is that they aren't spying on you. The author never mentions that.

Ford stopped making the Crown Vic because of the Electronic Stability Control mandate for 2012. Such a pity. My 2008 P71 has 195,000 miles and runs like a new car. Parts have always been cheap and plentiful; that was one of the reasons why I like them. But parts are starting to get harder to find. I'm going to drive this car till the wheels fall off but after that I'll probably have to switch to something else.

I agree with all of that......except I seen a 205 GTI "Snap oversteer" into a ditch at speed, 70's 911 pilots that needed Cat like reflexes ...mid-engine car that would revolve rather than involve......lot to be said for a car you could trust, drive on the limit & it would just gently understeer .......or if you can around a corner & found something on the road you can leap on the brakes & it does NOT try to swap ends.

ABS is great but I had 2 cars both fitted with A P Racing brakes with 4 pots.......you could "feel" the wheels about to lock though the brake pedel.

Sadly because EVERY F**KING ASSH0LE feels the need to drive 2 tons of SUV everyone else needs to drive a tank, my Renault GT Turbo weigh in at 900kgs.

Couldn't agree more. I had a nice little Hyundai Accent. Decent on gas, fun to drive, reliable. People in giant SUVs with dark windows, texting and talking on their phones, kept running me out of my lane into oncoming traffic. I'd be blasting my horn but they were totally oblivious. I sold it and bought another Crown Vic.

Quite easy to do, they already got the mini cooper EV, it runs on a smaller version of the same platform......BMW have been caught out with their new EV platform some years off.
