One traditional manufacturer of hydrogen fuel cells is Ballard Power (BLDP).
They've been developing PEM fuels cells since 1989. They spun off their passenger car fuel cell business to Ford and Daimler but eventually bought back much of those assets.

I can't make any recommendations shiny. Not familiar with the emerging players. But what I might suggest is looking for a hydrogen ETF that holds a basket of companies, or an alternate energy ETF with a good track record and strategy. That is how I would probably play it.

I suspect more of these trucks will sell than Elon's Cybertruck (if Tesla actually ever builds it).

And note the emphasis on hydrogen fuel cell technology in the announcement.

GM is going to give Nikola its tec & turn it into Tesla 2.0......drain falling Tesla of investment & investment/High Tec "Buzz"..

I think their stock has about tripled in the last year.

They are a good Canadian company. I visited their facilities on Vancouver Island back in 1992 to look at their PEM fuel cells.
Back then they also had a thriving business making exotic batteries that generated steady cashflow while they worked to establish a fuel cell business.
Their core competence in electrochemistry was world class, at least according to the electrochemist we brought along.

It seems like any time automotive fuel cells get good press Ballard Power stock does well.

Good point Mike. Exxon gross sales are 10 times as big as Cummins. Far more money is spent on fuel than on the engines.

Indeed, i agree but for GM investing........I don't think Nikola has anything major, its just a way of getting into the Truck market.
