Simply let's imagine at that price level how much capital is available now in Elon Musks hands; short notice I can't. On the contrary, one should be afraid of the destiny of the likes of Ford, GM or VW. Only regret do not own a single share, and I was warned on time by my brother, an electric car specialist, on due course.

Reading between the lines, Toyota just knifed Tesla.
Go to the bit about Panasoinc getting into Bed with Toyota.....

I loved to have seen Musk's face when he sussed that Toyota via Panasonic was using his company as a rather large R+D project!
If the battery tec failed, no problem Tesla get the bad rap.......it didn't & it has provided MEGA DATA with a fortune.

Tesla has made the upper class EV market, not just tree hugger stuff...........

Sure they "Sell" battery but at what price? & to whom?

just read a transcript of barry ritholtz interviewing catherine wood of ark investments [available free at cmg's steve blumenthal's "on my radar" e-letter]. although not said quite so baldly, it is clear that ark is not valuing tesla primarily as a car manufacturer. instead it is being viewed as an ai, and specifically an autonomous driving development company. via its software monitoring tesla has gathered data on billions of miles of driving, way ahead of google's mere millions, and it appears to be her opinion that tesla will be developing [and imo likely licensing] autonomous driving ai-based software along with selling its own line of autonomous vehicles.

this may undergird what appears to be a laughable overvaluation of tesla when viewed as a pipsqueak auto manufacturer.
