With DNC on bent knee before a bunch of upper middleclass attension seeking (mostly white) pricks......& a lot of looters, Biden or rather his crew snatched back control. They can see that most working Black folks are fully aware that the bloke in question is not MLK.

Yes reforms are required for the police, but the DNC threatening to "DE-fund" them........I mean what the f**k do they think will happen?

They're idiots, and they're getting slammed for that kneeling stunt. But I don't have a problem with some of the things in their bill:

Stripping away legal immunity for police and prosecutors. YES!

End the military selling and giving their surplus war equipment to local police forces. YES! Boys love their toys. Give a police department a tank and they'll look for a reason to use it. Police are supposed to "serve and protect." Arming and training police to act like soldiers is a big part of why policing has gotten so violent. I've seen police trainings. When you see cops using excessive force, they're doing exactly what they were trained to do.

Less money for SWAT, more money for cops walking a beat and getting to know the people on their block by name.

More drug treatment centers. Affordable, accessible health care with an emphasis on preventative health care.

Poor neighborhoods need better access to nutritious food, better schools and better jobs. More safety, less stress for mothers and children if those children are to grow up with healthy brains able to learn (again, watch Sapolski!)

If the Republicans introduced a bill with measures like this they'd be applauded for getting in front of the problem. It's not even on their radar. But with any bill from CONgress, the devil's in the details.

Down the road we need a complete revamp of the criminal justice system.

But laws only go so far. We need a cultural shift wherein young men are socially rewarded for being good fathers, and women are treated with respect instead of being called bitches and hos.
