The Beginning of the Long Emergency..............
I see my future living out the UK, if other nations offer a "Better Deal" (New Zealand/Oz/Canada/Ireland or US) than we see a UK "Brain drain" like the 1970's.
I expected this, but over a 20 year period now they going flat out for it.......I wonder if the speed results "unrest"

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

It reminds me of those temples where thousands of people leave their shoes outside. I always wonder how they find them again.

Bicycling works well in the cities where commute distances are short and housing densities are high. I wonder just how the virus is going to influence high density, central city living?
When I had a flat in Central London it was perfect to avoid owning a car as getting around by walking, on the Tube and using the black cabs worked just fine. I used a lightweight, collapsible wheeled luggage carrier to haul groceries from Waitrose on Kensington High Street. That meant small amounts with frequent trips to the store every few days. All of this is the opposite of what might be preferred in light of the virus.
Maybe the return of the Vespa? Or those cute 50 cc Honda Super Cubs from the '60s?Attached FilesLast edited by GRG55; May 10, 2020, 06:24 PM.
