Bingo. Where was his rant DURING the bubble when it might have mattered. And it isn't just the SEC, as Lax explains in Twenty One Flavors of Mortgage Fraud.

Two points, Cramer runs a show sponsored by the financial industry, in fact the whole of CNBC is 100% sponsored by the financial industry. They want you to trade, short, long, buy, sell, it does not matter as long as you trade. So treat it like that! Anyone who uses CNBC as an advisory information channel is deluding himself. Second, Cramer does have a point, the banks are playing a write off game where they make sure they cap their write off up to the minimum liquidity requirements. Only after injection of new money they write off more.

Strongly agree. I guess there is a thirst for knowledge, and it is easy to believe it is on that TV. Shit!, I was hooked on it for years, but probably going on 5 years, I watch it for moments annually. I think if one is looking for answers it isn't going to be on the boob-tube, and it distracts thinking, if one thinks thinking is important.

I'm with you there, Jim. When we relocated last summer, neither my wife nor I wanted to be the first to call the cable company. Instead, we rely upon print media and the Web for news we can use and Netflix as a fix for my video entertainment jones!
