Jiangxi Copper LSE shares suspended pending an announcement UPDATE

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Jiangxi Copper Company Ltd, mainland China's largest copper producer, said its shares were suspended from trading on the London Stock Exchange today, at its request, pending an announcement.

The company's shares were earlier suspended from trading in Hong Kong.

The company provided no reason for the suspension.

Earlier this month, Jiangxi Copper said it was looking to acquire assets from its parent Jiangxi Copper Corp, although it gave no further details.
