They still have not closed non-essential businesses. Cycling, funerals and group exercise still permitted. I predict that the screws will be tightened in a few days.

I think the "Press-power" is getting to him, this is mostly unenforceable, trust me there are simply nothing like enough Police for this.
The British Army has had its numbers cut as well............

90000 people have been arrested in France for violating curfew. The fines are now up to 1500 euros for repeat offenders( + jail terms). Trust me they can and will enforce.

Chase bank announced last week that they're closing 1000 branches. Capital One is closing a lot of branches as well. Seems unnecessary. They could still keep the drive-up windows open if they wanted to. My paranoid self wonders if they're preparing for a bank holiday under the auspices of protecting their employees from the pandemic.

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

I reckon many of those branches (Chase has over 5,000) are in urban centers and do not have drive-up capabilities.

You're probably right. That would explain why Charles Schwab closed their branches.

Trust me, it is a very, very thin line.

Only 400k total security forces(125k cops, 275k military) in UK to actively manage 66 million people.

At best you could sustain 40-50k active at any one moment for weeks to a few months.

Talking to senior police yesterday, it’s not as easy to manage as one might think.

We will likely be fine as most people comply and go along.

But what freaks out security forces is unexpected rapid momentum they cannot manage that blows the facade.
