I liked the early 2000's version, we not had a "Car" movie since the 70's. (Two lane black top?)

But no they just kept spitting out this crap, & the simple minded tried to do it for real, with lots of nasty car crashes, broken people.

After Walker & his "Top Gun pilot" ended up dead like many of their fans I thought that was it.........but I was sadly mistaken.

I guess we need a major depression & a return of high oil prices to kill off this crap (although "Gretta" might be a solution?)

Even in the 70's they had a sobering endings

It's ironic that the man known for driving fast and furious dies in a racing Porsche well known for its idiosyncratic demands on the driver. Like Kobe Bryant's pilot trying to fly VFR in IFR weather, ending up in the soup, then the dirt. You don't drive a race car at speed on 10 year old tires. Well, you don't do it more than once anyway.
