Ah yes, the Lumina. A car designed to fit the Hertz and Budget rental fleets perfectly.

What are they going to review next? A Vega? Or maybe a Chevette (popularly known at the time as a "shove-it").

Had the fuel pump in the old Vega fail about half-a-dozen times. Got sick of dropping the damn gas tank, so mounted it on the frame. It whined loud. Between that and the exhaust, the little thing sounded like a panzer division rolling crawling down the central artery.

My Renault 5 GT Turbo had a heat problem in that the heat of the exhurst would boil the fuel in the carb.......I took a fan off a Fiat X1/9 that was used to draw hot air out of the engine bay. The engineering dept of the firm I worked with built some duct-ing & as able to "Dump" the hot air out of the car.

Many 5 GT Turbo owners suffered from "Hot start" trouble........not me !

Back in the day I was returning home late 1 night, clear sharp sky of a cool Sept night, my GPz 900 running sweetly.
As thundered along the Motorway (Freeway) the velocity was rather on the high side & I could just still see the strobing Blue light that had triggered me to "Warp speed".

As it fell off the radar I began planning my return to "impuse"

"Enjoy this victory young man as by the time your 50/60 old you be driving VW Golf & not a bike" I said to myself as I arrived home......

Well if its a VW Golf like this FINE !!!!!!
