All in. Let's start with some low hanging fruit; maybe like taxing the Harvard University Endowment Fund and similar entities like the Museum of Fine Arts. Oh, and the assets and revenue of the CJP and Catholic Archdioceses.

Don't think you've been following our local politics too close there, bud. Last Dem candidate for gov in Mass ran pretty much on what you're describing. Didn't win. But still, usually you've got a better sense of the zeitgeist than that.

Ow! You sure know how to hurt a guy. All that Appleton rum and Triangle Kush is making jack a dull boy!

I'm not sure where the idea comes from that the left will jump to defend Soros or Facebook or Harvard or the Catholic Church and shield them from taking their share of responsibility or whatever the way some on the right jump to protect Kochs or Exxon or Cato or Billy Graham Jr. But I don't really see that happening. If anything the motion seems more to be towards lumping them all in the same boat. If you want to go after what you perceive as 'the left's elite,' now's a pretty opportune time. Half of rank-and-file would help. Hell, half'd just as well put Billy Jeffs in the same cell with the Donald and Jeffrey Epstein. Maybe call it the Humbert Humbert Suite. Something to ponder the next time you spark one up at least.

vt, let me bring it down to a nice family analogy for you.

Imagine it like a rough marriage.
Guy just went off on his own and took out a 10 year, $10,000 motorcycle loan (for tax cuts). He insists they need the motorcycle.
Now he's angry, saying it's extravagant and unrealistic to want to spend $750 over 10 years on the credit card for clothes (for tuition).

Maybe they can live without both. But at least you should be able to see how this is gonna cause a fight.

Hold up, EJ is back?? Is this official?

Edit: It's true! EJ's recent forum posts + EJ's first article since Nov 2018, in case you missed it (I did). When I go to the itulip.com front page, it auto-directs me to the forums, so I completely missed it. There's no more front page?

Well, I guess I have some catching up to do!!
