  • The ideology in Xi Jinping's China

Communism, socialism, fascism always fail. Free markets with fair regulation are far from perfect but as least they have freedom and greater long term success.

We do need to make changes in healthcare, education, and other areas.

the roman empire lasted a lot longer than any modern state. the chinese dynasties lasted a long time too. the u.s. is approaching 350 years, but with increasing corruption, concentration of wealth, oligopolies and a gradual transition to oligarchy. "free markets" don't exist in the absence of "fair" gov't regulation, but regulatory capture is the common reality.

it was interesting reading that article on xi jinping thought and the prc's ideological "renewal." and what was most interesting was the thought that we need an ideological renewal of our own. the chinese elite want to clear away vestiges of western liberalism, while western liberalism needs to clear away the residua and regrowth of feudal society

Due to the size of China and difficulty in ruling it, Chinese dynasties rarely last more than 100 years. Perhaps you are referring to Japanese or Korean dynasties?
