Welcome to the 2010s. Take an idea with an established brand from 50 years ago. Reboot it. Make it darker, grittier, less wholesome, more brutal, and more intense. Add lots of spinning frames and cgi and action scenes. Subtract lots of character development and dialogue. Have weird light sources and lens flare in every shot instead of standard stage lighting. Make the plot serial rather than episodic. Shift content towards cliff hangers and mysteries with resolution as an afterthought. No plot complex enough for key details to get lost in translation for worldwide audience. But just leaving enough of a mystery dangling the streaming crowd binging. This is what the market demands. I don't expect it to change until/unless incentives do.Comment

Love TOS Star Trek.........Next Gen, not much (Self-right-us Bastards!)..........loved DS9 & quite liked Voyager............just could not get into Enterprize ...........
Its like they forgot to write anything, all that sh1t post modenisum commie crap they where feed as kids has addled their brains.
