Majority of dictators end up insane?

Mao and Hitler were insane. You could also say that Saddam was partially insane. Erdogan is starting to show initial signs of insanity. Who's next?

Russia could never understand why Fidel Castro went to africa.......they begged him not to because the West sez the CCCP was behind it. Only after the wall came down that the West found out they didn't..................it has turned out that Fidel sused out CCCP was going to collapse & did it on the orders of China...........who is now very much out there building railroads etc.................crazy like a Fox!

It's fine if you have small island or city countries run by dictators as they can't do much harm given their size. These small country dictators are not true dictators as they are just "subjects" of a much bigger ally. Even north korea is not large enough to do much harm.

But Russia and China... The next 10-20 years will be very interesting.

I think they were insane before they became dictators. That's why they wanted to become dictators. Anyone who wants control over other peoples lives is mentally ill, IMO.

I think it's easy for anyone, even if not insane, to yearn for power and more power. Not everyone can be a Nelson Mandela. Truly democratic countries limit the number of terms for a President.

Once a president goes insane, all his actions will not be rational and to the detriment of the country.
