Last year I asked a classmate who was 2IC of Google's car project(and since moved to Uber) if they purchased competitive product to evaluate.

He said, "of course!"

I asked him what his opinion was of the existing product on the market.

He said, "The hands down best car is the Nissan Leaf. No matter what they tried to do to it or abuse it, they couldn't kill it."

I don't see it as a "fun" car, but a very practical car for daily commute and local errands/travel.

Second hand with a battery in good condition that can be plugged in daily, they are VERY good value.

Thanks Mike, that video does great job pointing out all the downsides of the Leaf EV (and most plug-in EVs)
Plus it's pretty amusing watching the fellow express his buyer's remorse, he is genuinely funny.
