Undisclosed US/coalition capability to detect and defeat nuclear weapons and their delivery platforms shouldn't be underestimated.

I would bet a substantial amount of money that every NK launch has overlapping surveillance and detection.

If a warhead is detected on a missile, I doubt very much it would survive beyond launch ignition or initial boost phase.

No suspicion. Likely fact that North Korean rocket motors are from the Russian/Ukrainian RS-250 family of rocket motors.

It could be North Korean “dumpster diving” physical intelligence collection, lots of these motors were literally sitting around and available for scrap value in the mid 1990’s, or outright sales/purchase to be a thorn in the US side.

After Kim has tested the hydrogen bomb over the pacific, which he will do so in the coming months, he will demand that the US drop sanctions and he might even believe that the US will do so, judging from his enthusiasm over rockets and nukes.

Of course, Trump won't budge, so Kim will find himself in a corner as he can't explain to the North Korean elites who are already used to having a car and eating sushi that they will become poorer after becoming a nuclear power. Soon, they will soon realize the simple logic - you can't eat nukes.

In order to prevent a revolt, Kim will attempt to do something even more radical than exploding a nuke over the pacific, which will eventually lead to real war.
